Wrinkle Relaxing Injections

Frown lines, horizontal forehead lines and crow’s feet are some of the most popular areas to treat. Crease lines and wrinkles are a natural process of ageing due to a combination of ageing, sun damage, gravity and the muscle action of laughing, talking, frowning and crying. Hyperactivity of the facial expression muscles often results in the development of deep frown lines, forehead lines and/or crow’s feet.

FDA Approved, Botulinum Toxin injections, have been used for both medical and cosmetic purposes for over 20 years with no known adverse effects. Injecting Botulinum Toxin into the affected area temporarily relaxes the underlying muscles responsible for wrinkling, giving the face a more relaxed and pleasant appearance. The wrinkles become smoother or disappear altogether. Your facial expression will become more relaxed but by no means mask-like. The overall result is very natural.

The initial effects of treatment become visible within 48 to 72 hours. The maximum effect is reached in 1 to 2 weeks. A top-up may be required at this stage to reach the required dose level for a mutually achievable result. There is virtually no recovery time and you can resume normal activities after treatment. The effect of treatment generally lasts for 3 to 4 months. Re-treatment is then required and for an optimum effect treatment is recommended three to four times a year.
We use Azzalure/Dysport/BOTOX/Vistabel materials which are all EU accredited.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are one of the most popular non-surgical treatments among patients who want to combat the signs of ageing. The Dermal Fillers are injected under the skin to help restore the firmness and smoothness that is associated with youth. Thin fillers are used to eradicate lines and wrinkles and are injected more superficially then thicker ones, which are used to add volume to hollow cheeks or to fill out scars. Dermal Fillers can also be used to enhance lips.

Dermal Fillers are made from various kinds of natural and man-made or synthetic materials. There are a variety of fillers available on the market, both permanent and resorbable or non-permanent. Non-permanent fillers such as hyaluronic acid have emerged as the leading choice among both practitioners and patients. As hyaluronic acid is found in all living organism and therefore is highly biocompatible, no pre-treatment skin test is required.

The effects can last between 6 to 8 months, but duration differs from person to person and from one area of the face to the other.

The only side effect of these fillers is redness/papules lasting for three to four hours, which can usually be covered up with light make up. Some patients can get swelling for up to a week, but immediate application of ice usually reduces this risk.
